A car accident occurred late Wednesday afternoon on the Avgorou-Frenarous road in the province of Famagusta. According to the information transmitted by AlphaNews.Live, two vehicles were involved in the accident, driven by a 71-year-old man from Frenaros and a young woman from Bulgaria.
Under the circumstances under investigation, the accident happened when one of the two drivers tried to turn right, towards the rural area of Panagia Asprovouniotissa.
The young woman was trapped in the wreckage of her vehicle and needed the intervention of members of the Fire Service to free her, using special tools.
The two were taken to the Emergency Department of the Famagusta General Hospital, where the woman was diagnosed with a neck fracture.
