A traditional feast and traditional games took place at noon on Easter Monday in the courtyard of the Church of Archangel Michael in Frenaros.
The traditional event was attended by the musical group of Michalis Hadjimichael as well as the children's dance group of the Frenaros Cultural Club, while the event was co-organized by the Municipality of Paralimni - Deryneia, the Frenaros Cultural Club and the Frenaros FC2000 Athletic Club.
In his greeting, Mayor Mr. George Nikolettos congratulated the organizers for the event which, as he mentioned, contributes in its own way to the revival and dissemination of the traditional customs of our country.
He also emphasized that the Municipal Council is working tirelessly and in close cooperation with the aim of improving the living standards of the citizens of all municipal districts, through strengthening infrastructure, upgrading the quality of life and creating conditions of prosperity and perspective.
At the same time, he also highlighted the strategy of enhancing the visitor experience by highlighting the cultural and tourist profile of the region, since, as he mentioned, among the main axes is the tourist expansion towards the hinterland, with a typical example being the provision of a free tourist guide, which highlights the history, wealth and natural beauty of all municipal districts.
He finally expressed the wish that the Resurrection Light would be a beacon of hope and faith for the long-awaited liberation and reunification of the occupied territories of the Municipality and Cyprus.
