The Kokkinochoria Fotis Pittas High School in Frenaros honored Kyprianos Papaioannou and all the victims of the Tempi tragedy this morning. A trisago ceremony was held by the priests.
The school principal, Mr. Adamos Kakouris, was moved and said that "there was emotion again, Kyprianos was and is one of our children, he went through these classes, he left us his smile, his kindness, his politeness. A special child, with excellent morals."
He also stated that "we are here today to honor his memory, we will never forget him because he truly left his mark on this school and we believe that we must keep him alive in our memory because he left us a sacred legacy."
"Reading a little of his diary, which personally moves me very much, I realize that he resembles a bit of the Saints of the church, who urge us to be kind, without ego, simple and humble," he added.
The moment when the students of the Music School performed the song "Why did you put my heart in it?" was particularly moving.
