Fotis Pitta High School of Kokkinohoria participates in the Erasmus + program, with the theme “Experiencing multiculturalism through the photographic lens». Italy, Poland and Romania are also participating in the program. Cyprus was the first country to host students from the participating countries from 10 to 15 November 2019.
During the visit, the students attended photography seminars by the photographer Mr. Costas Kyriakidis and participated in a photography competition.
The students were hosted by the students' families and had the opportunity to get to know the culture and customs of our place. Within the framework of the program, visits were made to the "Sea" Museum and the Sculpture Park in Ayia Napa, the chapel of Prophet Elias in Protaras, the Holy Temple of Agios Georgios and Agia Anna in Paralimni, the Folklore Museum in Deryneia and the Cyprus Handicraft Center Nicosia. The students also experienced the Green Line and saw the ruined city of Famagusta from the observatory of the Cultural Center in Deryneia.
They visited the archeological settlement of Choirokoitia, toured the picturesque alleys of Lefkara and lived moments of joy on the donkey farm in Skarinou.
Throughout the program, students had the opportunity to photograph unique snapshots and landscapes both on camera and in their hearts.
