Yannis Karousos has announced his candidacy for the Presidency of the Famagusta Provincial Self-Governing Organization.
The announcement of:
Friends from Famagusta,
For years, I served Famagusta in various positions: as a Municipal Councillor, as Mayor of Ayia Napa, and later as Minister of Transport, Communications and Works.
This experience taught me to find solutions to difficult problems and create positive change. Now, I declare myself ready to channel this knowledge and my passion for Famagusta, as President of the Famagusta Provincial Self-Governing Organization.
Together, we can build a modern, functional, and attractive Famagusta for everyone.
With vision, confidence and hard work, we can create a model province: A region that thrives, focusing on workers and local business development, that offers equal opportunities to its young people, without forcing them to pack for to pursue their future outside their beloved city and will create a complete tourism experience, allowing its visitors to enjoy it all year round.
At the same time, the needs of the refugees in the province will be in the foreground, facilitating their daily life.
From my position as Minister of Transport I promoted projects worth millions of euros for the entire province and today I can implement even more.
I invite you to support my candidacy and together we can move towards the future that our Famagusta deserves, through the operation of a Provincial Self-Governing Organization that will serve its citizens reverently and consistently, upgrade their quality of life, create perspective and providing them with the opportunities they deserve, making them proud!
I learned to be here for the simple and the difficult and now for my province I claim and implement.
