The President of EOA Famagusta Yiannis Karousos spoke on the show UPDATE NOW about the deadly clashes.
Mr. Karousos emphasized that "In order to achieve zero fatal road collisions, the Government, the Parliament and all politicians should be useful and not liked".
He also stated that "there is a Bill submitted to the Parliament during my ministry, for the reform of the Driving Schools, which are governed by the Law of 1960. Unfortunately, however, its discussion is not progressing. Also, another serious issue is the payment of out-of-court fees to rental vehicle drivers. The Bill we submitted has been withdrawn."
There are also powers that the Minister of Transport himself can use so that the appropriate measures are taken, he added.
