Grigoris Savva took part in the famous IRONMAN triathlon race in Austria, on Sunday, June 16, 2024. The athlete ran with the aim of supporting the Famagusta Autism Association.
In his post, the athlete wrote, "It's only been five days since my first finish in a Full Ironman race and I'm still having a hard time believing it!" A race that I started at 7:16 in the morning of Sunday 16/6 and finished at 22:36 in the evening of the same day. 15:20:23 hours I did not stop for a minute trying to achieve one of the many goals that I have put in my life".

It's only been five days since my first Full Ironman finish and I still can't believe it! A race that I started at 7:16 in the morning of Sunday 16/6 and finished at 22:36 in the evening of the same day. 15:20:23 hours I did not stop for a minute trying to achieve one of the many goals that I have put in my life. A goal that I started fulfilling since September! From September until the day of the race I had the most beautiful and constructive journey because through it I hurt, failed disappointingly and learned what discipline really means but also learned the sweetness of success. When I heard the announcer say “From Cyprus…Gregor Savva YOU ARE AN IRONMAN” a lot of mixed strange feelings came to my mind. Feelings that I will never forget. I feel incredibly blessed thank God that I made it and am healthy. I need to thank my brothers-in-law @nicolas.michaelides @tryfonthehunter who as soon as I found out about this huge race I'm doing booked tickets to come and support me They didn't just support me...I also did their own race out there . They have always been by my side and the thanks I say to them are few!! My coach @dimos_paps I may have said thank you 1000 times but I'll say it again and block me! Your help with everything was incredible! I will have to say that I gave up on the best coach not only in terms of training but also in terms of humanity. Stay tuned for the next match because I think I caught the bug! I also couldn't help but thank my whole family, friends, acquaintances and relatives who have sent me many messages of support and have helped in their own way.
