Deryneia-Sotiras Gymnasium-Lyceum: The award ceremony for the best was held (PICTURES)

On Monday, September 26, 2022, at the Deryneia Amphitheater, the Award Ceremony of the excellent students of the Peace and Freedom High School, Deryneia - Sotiras took place.

During the Event, the 150 excellent students of the 2021-2022 school year were awarded, while the ceremony was accompanied by an artistic program by the Youth Choir "Mikroi Rebetes" under the direction of Giorgos Dimitriou, on the theme of Smyrna and the Environment.

The Event was honored with their presence by the chairman of the Educational Service Committee, Panagiotis Antoniou, the member of the committee Alexandros Kouratos, the Mayors of Deryneia and Sotiras, Andros Karagiannis and Giorgos Takkas, Priests of the respective Municipalities, Teachers and parents/guardians of the students .

During the event, the Association of Parents and Guardians presented the winners with honorary mementos. The final year students were also presented with the book Plants of Cyprus – Walking around the Cape Greco, by the late Efthymios Efthymios, Physics teacher and writer, donated by Despos Farkonis – Efthymios’ wife in memory of her husband for his 2nd annual memorial service.
