The Free Province of Famagusta confirms its position as one of the most dynamic and innovative tourist destinations in the Mediterranean, with the award for its targeted online promotion campaign in important foreign markets in the Branding & Communication – Digital Multichannel Campaign category at the Cyprus Tourism Awards 2025.
This distinction recognizes an initiative that went beyond the limits of a conventional tourism campaign and evolved into a model of cooperation between the public and private sectors, with the common goal of enhancing the international recognition and competitiveness of the Famagusta district.
The award-winning campaign was implemented by PASYXE Famagusta in close collaboration with ETAP Famagusta, with the support of the Deputy Ministry of Tourism, and the participation of the Municipalities of Ayia Napa and Paralimni - Deryneia, Hermes Airports, Bank of Cyprus, hotel partners and other strategic collaborators.
The contribution of AZTECH was decisive, as it undertook the strategic planning, the development of the integrated digital ecosystem and the optimization of the campaign's performance through advanced technologies, data analysis and modern destination marketing practices.
Utilizing an always-on, full-funnel communication strategy, the campaign managed to convey the coherent and powerful destination message for the Famagusta District to key European markets, significantly enhancing the region's awareness and creating new growth prospects for the province's tourism.
This distinction confirms that collaboration, strategic consistency and shared targeting can transform a vision into tangible results with international recognition.
In his statements, the President of PASYXE Famagusta, Mr. Panagiotis Konstantinou, particularly emphasized the fact that “this award belongs to the entire District and the organizations that collaborated for this result”. He even pointed out that “it is recognition of a collective effort that has proven that when the public and private sectors work with a common vision, they can create results that exceed expectations”. Mr. Konstantinou expressed his warm thanks to ETAP Famagusta, the Deputy Ministry of Tourism, the two municipalities of the district, Hermes Airports, the Bank of Cyprus and all the entrepreneurs who supported and continue to support this initiative. He made special mention of AZTECH, “which, with its strategic approach, know-how and innovation, contributed decisively to transforming the campaign into an award-winning success with a measurable impact for our region”.
For his part, the President of the Famagusta Tourism Board, Mr. George Tofinis, after expressing his satisfaction and thanks to all the bodies that contributed to this result, sent the message that "the Famagusta Tourism Board remains committed to developing cooperation initiatives that enhance the international image of the entire province and create the conditions for sustainable tourism development in the coming years". He stressed that only through strengthening cooperation and team efforts, with the participation of all bodies, can significant results be achieved for the entire province at an international level.
