On the 47th anniversary of the occupation of Acheritos, which fell to the Turks on August 31, 1974, the FREE ACERITOS ASSOCIATION and the Acheritos Community Council are organizing a MEMORY DAY of occupied Acheritos and invite you to pay your respects to take place on Sunday, August 29, 2021, at 08:30 a.m. in the Settlement of Agios Georgios Acheritos, in the church of Agios Dimitrios.
The event is under the auspices of the Minister of Foreign Affairs Mr. Nikos Christodoulidis.
The program includes:
1. Memorial service for the fallen and executed Acheriotes and a prayer for finding our missing.
2. Trisagio and laying of wreaths at the monument of the fallen and missing of the community of Acheritos, in the Settlement of Agios Georgios Vrysoulon Acheritos.
The protocol for dealing with the pandemic will be strictly adhered to
