The British Bases Police announced that on Thursday, March 5, 2026, between 21:00 PM and 23:00 PM, they will proceed with the closure of a section of the Larnaca - Ayia Napa motorway, heading towards Ayia Napa, between exits 63 ("ASO Stadium") and 64 (Xylofagou).
The closure is taking place as part of a reenactment of a fatal road traffic collision that occurred on February 13, 2026, as part of the ongoing investigation into the case.
The Police urge drivers to exercise extreme caution, follow road signs and comply with police instructions. During the closure, traffic will be diverted via the Ormideia - Xylofagou road.
The British Bases Police apologizes in advance for any inconvenience this may cause.
