On Wednesday, March 29 and Friday, March 31, sections of the Larnaca - Ayia Napa highway will be closed due to work on the installation of an electrical supply on a bridge from the Dekelia Bases.
An announcement by the Department of Public Works states that on Wednesday March 29, 2023 and Friday March 31, works will be carried out on the Larnaca - Ayia Napa highway to install electrical supply on a bridge, by the Administration of the Dekelea Sovereign Base Area (SBA Dekeleias).
The work will take place between 08:00 and 15:00 and sections of the motorway will remain closed during it, it added.
Specifically, "on March 29, a section of one traffic lane (alternating) of the highway, approximately 50 meters long, will be closed between the exits to Pyla and Xylotymbou, in the direction of Ayia Napa."
Also, "on March 31, a section of one traffic lane (alternating) of the highway, approximately 50 meters long, between the 2nd and 3rd exits to Xylofagos, in the direction of Ayia Napa, will be closed."
The Department of Public Works apologizes for the inevitable inconvenience that will be caused and calls on the public to show the necessary understanding and to comply with the temporary road signs and the instructions of the Police.
