The allocation of 5 million from the 2018 budget for the implementation of 115 small development projects in 94 communities was announced today by the Minister of Interior Konstantinos Petridis during a press conference, with the "first" being in Paphos.
Of the total amount, 730 thousand euros will be allocated for development projects in five communities in the province of Famagusta.

According to the Minister of Interior, the goal is the revitalization and development of the countryside, as well as the strengthening of communities to become centers of tourism, cultural, agricultural and environmental development.
Referring to the projects, Mr. Petridis stressed that "with proper financial management and redistribution of available budget resources, we create margins for development projects in the countryside and immediately implement mature projects utilizing savings."
