A reshuffle was announced on Friday, December 5, 2025, by the President of the Republic, Nikos Christodoulides.
With the new composition of the Government, the portfolio of the Ministry of Justice and Public Order is taken over by the Director of the Ayia Napa Marina, Konstantinos Fytiris, and with this appointment, two members of the Council of Ministers come from the Greek province of Famagusta and specifically from Paralimni (Deputy Minister of Tourism is Kostas Koumis, also from Paralimni)
The new appointments in detail:
- Minister of Energy, Commerce and Industry is appointed Michalis Damianos who was at the Ministry of Health. The Minister of Energy is leaving George Papanastasiou.
- Minister of Labor and Social Insurance is appointed Marinos MousiouttasThe Minister left the Ministry. Giannis Panagiotou.
- Minister of Justice and Public Order is appointed Konstantinos FytirisThe Minister left the Ministry. Marios Hartsiotis, who takes over as Presidential Commissioner.
- Minister of Health is appointed Νεόφυτος ΧαραλαμπίδηςThe Minister left the Ministry. Michalis Damianos.
- Deputy Minister of Social Welfare is appointed Klea Hadjistefanou PapaellinaThe Deputy Minister left the Ministry. Marilena Evangelou.
- Presidential Commissioner is appointed Marios HartsiotisThe position was held by Anna Aristotelous.
The swearing-in and inauguration ceremony of the new ministers and government officials will take place on Monday, December 8, 2025.

The Minister of Justice and Public Order, Konstantinos Fytiris
Kostas Fytiris was born in Paralimni on 28 Dec 1960. He studied at the Higher Military School of Naval Cadets and during his service in the National Guard he also studied Civil Engineering. He served in the National Guard for 40 years in various key positions. He retired from the National Guard in 2018 with the rank of Rear Admiral and in January 2019 he took over as Director of the new Ayia Napa Marina.
