The Communities of the Free Province of Famagusta expressed their protest through a letter for the poor condition of the road network due to the works for the construction of the sewerage system and also due to the recent severe weather conditions.
In a joint letter sent to the President of the Republic, the Presidents of the five Community Councils of Avgoros, Acheritos, Achnas, Liopetri and Frenaros inform that the roads within their community limits are in a very bad condition while asking for financial assistance for their repair.
This huge problem facing the Communities, as the letter states, was initially created due to the construction of the sewer and due to the recent extreme weather conditions it became even more intense as a result of which the roads have become unsafe for the hundreds of citizens who use them daily. .
The letter is signed by the Commune Mayors of Avgorou Panagiotis Michailas, Acheritou Michalis Kaounas, Achnas Nikos Vasilas, Liopetriou Kyriakos Trisokkas and Frenarous Michalis Hatzigiorkas.
