The Municipality of Lefkonikos organized with great success the event "Journey to the flavors of Lefkonikos" on December 28, 2017, at the building of the Refugee Association "To Lefkonikos" in Larnaca, under the auspices of the Minister of Agriculture, Rural Development and Environment Mr.
Initially, the documentary was prepared for the rich town of Mesaoria by the Municipality of Lefkonikos, and then after the greetings of the Mayor Mrs. Zina Lysandrou Panagidis and the Minister, the children of the traditional dance group of the Leconoskanos Association "To Lefkonikoiko" and danced traditional dances, while Dr. Irini Rodosthenous sang traditional songs. They were followed by Christos Tziallis, Sotiris Houtris and Xeni Panteli.
Finally, all attendees tasted, in addition to the food, the traditional pasta prepared by the golden-haired ladies, in large quantities, to please the conspirators and their conspirators and to remind them of the flavors of their town, such as tsipopita, cigars , the double-edged swords, the fingers, the buns, the grits, the halloumotes, even titsiriopitta, toumatsia, etc. , while Mrs. Eleni Xenofontos was making tsipopita at the event so that the young girls could learn the tradition of their town.
It was admittedly an excellent event that left the best impressions and excited the citizens of Lefkonikos and the friends of the famous town of Mesaoria.
Also, on Friday, December 29, 2017, the Lefkonikos School Tax Office awarded the excellent students who come from Lefkonikos. It was an event characterized by its impeccable organization and high level.
At the event of the School Tax Office of Lefkonikos, the aids were given to students from the Charitable Institutions of Lefkonikos, Eleni Th. Savvidou and Kyriaki Thopa. The Mayor of Lefkonikos is the President of the Kyriaki Thopa Foundation, a teacher, while Mr. Michalakis Paparidis is the President of the Eleni Th. Savvidou Foundation.
