Lefteris Triaros, the Aristide candidate of DI.KO in Famagusta, presented his proposals on the economy and social goals through a video posted on Social Media.

ECONOMY:

Immediate Response COVID-19

- Restoration of the State Guarantee Bill (After pressure from DI.KO and society, it was returned and voted].

- Extension of Suspension of Loan Installments by one year to businesses and households that were affected, before property was lost, for the benefit of 'third parties'. Pending.

-Legislative / Tax incentives to owners of commercial premises for voluntary deduction of 50% of the rent in all companies affected. Pending.

- Additional measures to support the unemployed, businesses and workers as long as the effects of the Pandemic are visible. They are pending.

ECONOMY:

VISION AND NEW SUSTAINABLE ECONOMIC MODEL IN CYPRUS and sustainable development in all sectors

Because the current economic model of Cyprus [six months of tourism, and 'Limassol towers' -and without serious urban planning- 'collapsed' as an economic model], the following proposal is presented after study and research that will restore the middle class and possibilities of support of the weakest and will bring prosperity to Cyprus for all.

1. Cyprus as a quality tourist destination, all year round

2. Cyprus as an International Medical Destination

3. Cyprus as a Center for Research, Development, Technology and Innovation

4. Cyprus as an International University Destination of Excellence with the provision of international level education services for Cypriot and European students.

 ECONOMIC - SOCIAL OBJECTIVES:

1. Pensions:

i) Abolition of the 12% deduction on pensions.

ii) Establishment of a minimum pension at € 800- for employees and a minimum housewife pension at € 500 2.

2. Abolition of the fee of € 350- for inactive companies and reduction to € 100- for small and medium companies.

3. Demographics and large families: Proper measures to support large families. Emphasis on strong incentives for the family with 3 children, which will reverse the reduction of the population.

4. Refugee Policy: Improving and expanding housing and other programs and simplifying procedures.

5. Immigration: Improve immigration management and expedite deportation procedures for non-beneficiaries of protection and assistance.

Curriculum vitae:

He studied Economics - Accounting and Business Administration (B.Sc.) and completed his Postgraduate Studies (M.Sc.) in Business Administration with a Scholarship of the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs at the EMI Organization in Milan. Mr. Triaros is the Managing Partner of E TRIAROS & Co. He has been a Certified Public Accountant - Auditor and Business Consultant since 1990 until today.

He has been a member of the Board. of EBE Famagusta and a member of the Economic Committee of CCCI, while he is President of the Association of Graduate Certified Auditors-Accountants of Cyprus, as well as Vice President of Finance of TEVEA. He is also the President of the Paralimni Tennis Club and a member of the Board. of the Cyprus Tennis Federation (OAK) of which he was Vice President in the period 2017-2020. He has intense social action and contribution to fellow human beings while he is Vice President of the Association for Children with Special Needs "Lighthouse of Life" of the Free Province of Famagusta. He is married and has 3 children.
