Today we make a tribute to all the heroic mothers who raise children with special abilities and who most of the time, in addition to moms, are also doctors, physiotherapists, psychologists, speech therapists and everything else their child needs.

. For all those who have never heard the word "mom" from their children's lips and who may never hear it. Manoules, who raise their children with unlimited love without a husband and every day face all those looks, vices and negative comments with dignity in a country that, let us not laugh, does not stand by them at all. To the peasants who with so much suffering managed to raise their children but also to all those who did not have the opportunity to be educated, to travel, to have fun but fight every day only for their children. Happy Birthday to all moms who with their strength and patience, never give up and always hope, even when there is no hope.

On Mother's Day, but do not forget the grandmother…
If you are lucky enough to have her with you or near you, she will be very happy to wish her!

The story and advice of a wonderful grandmother from Liopetri…

Mrs. Georgia Miltiadou Kontozi was born on 31/12/1928 in Liopetri. He has 6 children, 22 grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren. She only went to school for 3 months because her parents wanted her near them to help them in the fields and in the herd. She learned to read and write on her own.
She was the best shepherd in the village, in the potato harvest and in the summer. "The summer started in early June. Sometimes, depending on the weather, and in late May. In the summer we all went, men, women, young and old. Everyone helped in their own way. We moved very early in the morning, at dawn, we got to work with our scythes that we had before making sure to sharpen them well with the file so that they do not "stick". You should have been slender… "he tells us and continues:" I was born, raised and aged in the fields. I did not have the opportunity to do anything else. But I do not complain, I thank God every day and I am glad to see today young girls studying, traveling and realizing their dreams ".
The advice that Mrs. Georgia wants to give to all the women of the place:
Family is everything. It is a great blessing to see families staying together and I am glad to see older people staying with their children and being happy. I know that the elderly who live alone, have worse health while their loneliness leads to premature death. Try to find even a little time for your grandparents, do not forget them, especially today…
You need to spend more time with your children as time goes by very quickly. Remember that your children will never be too young to play and laugh with them.
Do not be ashamed to cry. Crying does not show weakness as many have learned to say but it relieves your heart and soul from pain.
Do not be afraid to grow old. Each age phase has its own good and grandmothers know this well.

Love your husband and your children. Always respect them. Teach respect and love and if you succeed, growing up you will be proud.
Never go to bed angry. "There is nothing worse than lying down at night angry because that way, you open the door to any illness."

Her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, adore and admire her. Her granddaughter, Giorgoula Petrou, sends her her own message:
"My grandmother! You were, are and will be my support. The love you gave us was immense, so I thank God that I have you in my life ".
