As part of the celebrations for the anniversary of April 1st and the National Liberation Struggle of 1955-1959, today, at 17.30:20 p.m., in Liopetri, a trisage will be held at the grave of the First Hero-Martyr of the Struggle, Modestos Pantelis. It will be followed, around 00:20-30:XNUMX, by a torchlight procession with the "I Don't Forget" Band of Nationalist Associations.
Tomorrow 1st April 2023 at 5.30am in Eothino there will be a flag raising at the house of Modestos Pantelis, accompanied by the band "I Don't Forget". At 9.00:XNUMX a.m. the memorial service of the Hero will be held in I.N. Panagia Eleousa. A memorial speech will be delivered by the Deputy Minister of Tourism, Mr. Kostas Koumis. A march will follow to the community square, where there will be a procession and laying of wreaths on the statue of the Hero.
On Sunday, April 2, 2023, the annual blood donation in memory of Modestos Pantelis will take place, in the hall of the Liopetri Nationalist Associations from 11.00 a.m. to 13.00 p.m.
