The 6th Pancyprian Carrot Festival, organized by the Municipal District of Liopetri of the Municipality of Ayia Napa, was held with great success on Saturday, July 4, 2026, at the "Achyrona" Municipal Stadium of Liopetri.
The great celebration of local production, gastronomy and our agricultural heritage highlighted for yet another year the Liopetri carrot as a product inextricably linked to the history, identity and productive profile of the region.
The Festival, which was held under the auspices of the Minister of Agriculture, Rural Development and Environment, Dr. Maria Panayiotou, brought together a multitude of citizens and visitors, who enjoyed music, dance, traditional flavors and carrot-based products, in a particularly festive and authentic atmosphere.
The Mayor of Ayia Napa, Mr. Christos Zannetou, in his greeting, emphasized that the Pancyprian Carrot Festival is an important institution that connects agricultural production with culture, gastronomy and local identity, while highlighting the new dynamic of the enlarged Ayia Napa Municipality.
The Municipality of Ayia Napa expresses its warm thanks to the Deputy Mayor of Liopetri, Mr. Markos Koumis, the producers, the volunteers, the cultural organizations, the artists, the sponsors, the services of the Municipality and everyone who contributed to the successful organization of this great celebration of Liopetri.
The 6th Pancyprian Carrot Festival confirmed that local production, when linked to the culture and authentic experience of the place, is a force for promotion, development and collective pride for the entire Municipality of Ayia Napa.
