LIOPETRI: They went to steal a coin acceptor, a citizen arrested them

Catalytic assistance was provided to the citizen, in the arrest of four persons, in order to facilitate the investigations regarding a case of attempted theft from a locked box, causing malicious damage and possession of burglary tools during the night.

According to the data under consideration, around 10.45 p.m. Yesterday, a 27-year-old resident of Liopetri, saw two unknown individuals trying to break into a coin-operated drinking water vending machine, located in Liopetri.

After the 27-year-old approached the two faces, he found that the coin holder's locks had been cut and thrown to the ground. He immediately stopped the two people and informed the Police.

Police went straight to the scene, where they arrested the two men. It was found that they are 26-year-old and 17-year-old residents of Limassol.

The 27-year-old then showed police a car parked nearby, as the vehicle in which the two detainees went on stage. Two other people, aged 20 and 15, also from Limassol, were in the vehicle.

A search of the car turned up a metal scissors and an electric theft tool. The 20-year-old and the 15-year-old were arrested for the self-inflicted crime of illegal possession of burglary tools during the night.

The four detainees were taken into custody to facilitate interrogations.
