The blood donation in memory of the victims of road accidents took place on the evening of Wednesday 30/10 in the Liopetriou church hall.
A memorial service was also held in memory of the victims at the blood donation site.
At the same time, an information campaign for the Prevention of Road Accidents is organized by the Municipal District of Liopetriou, the Community Policing of the Famagusta Police Department, in collaboration with Organized Community Groups.

Our campaign aims to inform and raise public awareness about the dangers of road accidents and the importance of road safety. Road accidents are a daily risk to our lives and it is necessary to take action to reduce accidents and save lives.
With the message "Road Safety - Responsibility for All", we focus on educating drivers, pedestrians and cyclists in safe driving and traffic practices. Key campaign messages include:
Respect the speed limit
Avoid using a mobile phone while driving
Seat belt use, helmet use
Through informative actions in collaboration with the neighborhood police, such as lectures in schools, distribution of informative materials and campaigns on social media, but also a blood donation in memory of the victims of road accidents, we try to strengthen the awareness of the safety of everyone on the roads.
Our goal is to strengthen accountability and shape a new culture of safe driving behavior.
Only together can we make our roads safe so that we don't have any more victims!
