A fire that broke out at noon in an area near the fence of the Community of Liopetri, which is said to have been set maliciously, was brought under full control.
An announcement of the Department of Forests states that around 13:20 at noon, today Sunday (10/10) a fire broke out near the Liopetri fence.
It added that "the intervention of the fire brigade was immediate and catalytic, with the result that the fire was brought under full control before it spread".
According to the announcement, three people from the Forest Department participated in the firefighting operation with a fire truck and two people from the Fire Service with also a fire truck.
"The fire was set maliciously," he concludes.
