According to the spokesperson of the Force, at 06:54 yesterday morning, Famagusta fire stations responded with four fire engines to a fire in an electrical appliance repair workshop on the ground floor of a two-story private house in Liopetri. The fire caused extensive damage to the equipment and contents of the laboratory.
The smoke and heat affected the paintwork and fittings on both the ground and first floors. The fire was extinguished by the members of the Fire Service using water hose installations, breathing apparatus. The owner of the workshop was absent at the time of the fire. The causes of the fire are being investigated in cooperation with all the competent Services.
