An amateur fisherman from Liopetri owns the body that was found this morning in the sea area of the river Liopetri.
According to the spokesman of the Famagusta Police Department Andreas Konstantinou, "the body that was found floating in the sea area of the river Liopetri around 11.30 in the morning, belongs to Andreas Charalambous, 65 years old from Liopetri, who was an amateur" to deal with "health issues".
It is noted that from the first moment that information was received about the location of the body, men of TAE Famagusta went to the scene, who blocked the scene, brought the body to land and began examinations.
An ambulance from the Famagusta General Hospital rushed to the scene and transported the deceased to the TAEP where the doctors on duty confirmed his death.
It is recalled that the Police had at first sight ruled out the criminal act.
