The most alternative carrot-based recipes will be enjoyed by those attending the 5th Pancyprian Carrot Festival, which will take place on Saturday 05/07 at the ACHIRONA Community Stadium in Liopetri. Award-winning television chefs will present creative carrot-based recipes.
On the SIGMA show Mesimeri kai Kati, Chefs Andreas Paskouis and Maria Christofi presented the most alternative and creative recipe "Aromatic Fava Beans with Roasted Carrots, Caramelized Onions and Basil Oil".
The Mayor of Ayia Napa, Christos Zannetou, stated that "everyone is welcome to enjoy the Festival. The aim and purpose is to showcase local products but also to recognize and honor our producers who work hard to support this profession." The Deputy Mayor of the Municipal District of Liopetri, Markos Koumis, was also present at the presentation.
Organized groups and associations will sell various preparations such as sweets and jam, carrot cakes (individual and family), carrot cake, carrot liqueur, donuts with cream and carrot jam, carrot burgers, carrot meatballs, loukoumades, traditional mashed potatoes, juices, margaritas, carrot cocktails and many other surprises.
The event is organized by the Municipal District of Liopetri of the Municipality of Ayia Napa, under the auspices of the Minister of Interior Konstantinos Ioannou and is held with the support of the Deputy Ministry of Tourism.
The evening will be capped off by acclaimed artists George Margaritis, Kelly Kelekidou and George Tsalikis.
