The Municipality of Lysis is looking for ways to restore chapels and the church in the occupied village

On Wednesday, a delegation of the Municipality under the Mayor, Andreas Kaouris, discussed the restoration of churches and repairs in the church of Panagia tis Lysis, in the occupied village, with the co-chair of the Technical Committee for Cultural Heritage, Takis Hatzidis.

According to an announcement by the Municipality, Mr. Hadjidimitriou was given photographic material of the Deputy Mayor, Kyriakos Andreou, regarding the condition of the chapels and the church today. The next steps have been agreed and the two sides will be in constant contact to promote this goal, it added.

The meeting was also attended by the Deputy Mayor of Lysis, Kyriakos Andreou and the Elder Savvas Hatziionas, (Lysiotis), Secretary of the Synodal Committee on Monuments and Art of the Church of Cyprus.
