Issues related to the organization and operation of the Lyceum Lending Library, as well as cooperation for digitization in the context of highlighting and preserving the history and culture of Lysi, were discussed on Wednesday by Lyssis Mayor Andreas Kaouris and Rector Konstantinos Konstantinos of Cyprus University.
According to today's announcement, it was also discussed the cooperation with the University of Cyprus for the project of the Municipality of Lysis to record and study with scientific research all the traditional houses that are preserved in the occupied Lysis.
With pleasure, the announcement states, the Rector responded to the Mayor's request, such as the University of Cyprus to come to the aid and support of this effort of the Municipality of Lysis. He also expressed his readiness that the Services of the University of Cyprus and its human resources be utilized by the Municipality of Lysis when requested. The Mayor of Lysis expressed his warm thanks for the prompt response and agreed to be in regular contact.
The meeting was attended by the Deputy Director of the University of Cyprus Library Elena Diomidi - Parpouna and the librarian Anastasia Ioannou of the University of Cyprus.
