Within the framework of the European Erasmus+ program entitled "AI and Inclusion in Education: Empowering teachers and students through technology", a delegation of nine students and two teachers from the Kokkinochoria "Fotis Pitta" High School participated in an educational mobility, which took place in the city of Čakovec, Croatia, from 19 to 26 April 2026. The mobility was hosted by the Srednja škola Čakovec school and brought together students and teachers from Croatia, Germany and Cyprus, creating a multicultural environment of learning, collaboration and interaction.

During the week, students participated in joint educational, creative and experiential activities, which had as their main goal the understanding of the importance of inclusion in education and society. Through group work, workshops and collaborative actions, they cultivated communication skills, empathy and acceptance of diversity, experiencing in practice the values promoted by the program.

Throughout the week, students attended classes and workshops in the fields of science, mathematics, psychology, art, music therapy, and aromatherapy. These activities were designed to enhance the emotional well-being, creative expression, and active participation of all students, regardless of cultural or social background.

An important part of the program was getting to know the history, culture and traditions of Croatia. The participants visited museums, historical monuments and cultural sites in the cities of Čakovec, Varaždin and Zagreb, gaining valuable knowledge about the cultural heritage of the country. A special experience was the visit to the Nikola Tesla Museum of Technology in Zagreb, where the students learned about important technological achievements and watched interactive presentations related to science and innovation.

The program also included environmental awareness-raising activities, linked to the celebration of Earth Day. Through visits to natural areas of the Međimurje region, the students learned about the biodiversity of the region, were informed about the importance of environmental protection and participated in experiential activities that highlighted the relationship between humans and nature.

At the same time, the students came into contact with local communities, learned about traditional professions, customs and cultural elements of the region and participated in activities that promoted intercultural understanding. Through interaction with people of different ages, nationalities and cultural backgrounds, they better understood the importance of diversity as an element that unites and enriches societies.

The students who participated in this mobility of our program were: Dimitra Bouzouki (A2.1), Andreas Koumi (A2.2), Angeliki Michael (A3-4), Pavlos Vasilas (B3.2), Andriana Michael (B3.2), Mary Tofali (B3.2), Christian Kotsi (B3-4), Kyriaki Konstantinou (B6.1) and Panagiotis Christodoulou (B6.1). The general supervision and coordination of the program were held by Mrs. Katerina Pieri (Assistant Director) and Mr. Theofilos Georgiou (Program Manager), while the mission was carried out under the accompaniment of our school's Informatics teachers, Mr. Sotiroulas Giasoumi and Mr. Konstantinou Dimitriou.
