The earthquake that "shaken" areas of Cyprus centered on Paralimni

The Geological Survey Department of the Ministry of Agriculture, Rural Development and Environment announces that on Sunday, February 05, 2023, and local time 08:06, an earthquake measuring M=3.6 on the Richter scale was recorded by the Department's seismological network.

The earthquake had its epicenter in a marine area east of Cyprus, 25 kilometers northeast of Paralimni and a focal depth of 35 kilometers.

The earthquake was slightly felt especially in the province of Famagusta and in the province of Larnaca.
