The supply of drinking water in the districts of Larnaca, Nicosia and Famagusta will be reduced from tomorrow, Tuesday 24 until Friday 27 June, due to an outage at the Larnaca Desalination Plant.
An announcement by the Water Development Department (WDD) states that in collaboration with the Provincial Government Organizations and the Contractors of the other Desalination Units, the WDD "will make every possible effort to cover the water supply needs of the three provinces as much as possible."
The public "is invited, especially during this period, to limit water use to a minimum until the Desalination Plant reopens."
It is also noted "that the effective use of water will contribute significantly to addressing the water shortage that plagues our country."
