Through the Front Page, the Mayor of Paralimni, Theodoros Pyrillis, continued the fight against the Auditor General.
Among other things, he stated that "it is the same case (with 2018) and continues. The Auditor General was equipped to do all the investigations he had. I am the only politician who has given power of attorney to the GE to be able to control my assets. "This is because I believe that no matter how many legislative problems there are, politicians should have all the avenues open for auditing their assets by a body."
He referred to an "indirect way of leaking personal data" by Odysseas Michailidis, while noting that "he did not give anyone the right to produce mud". He stressed that his difference with GE is not personal but on the contrary "he had all the weapons in his hands and if he found something to make it public". He accused him of having to state in his report that he had sent a letter to the Attorney General.
He added: "I can not let anyone touch my honesty. It has killed me and my family abroad. Financially abroad we are killed. I am included in a specific page as corrupt. This will be true for the rest of my life. For me, for my wife, for my child, for my family ".
He also showed a cadastral map to respond to complaints about the plots he bought. He stated that "he is a long-term investor in land", stressing that these fields were bought without deceit, while he gave claims for the reasons why he bought them.
