A meeting of the Youth of the Famagusta District took place on Thursday 14/11 in Deryneia regarding the claim and promotion of the request to create a university in the Famagusta District. At the meeting, the Youth discussed the need to create a university that would offer multiple benefits to the youth.
The Youth had the opportunity to exchange views and send a message of unity in all directions.
The creation of a higher education institution will provide significant incentives for youth and entrepreneurship.
It is noted that the province of Famagusta remains the only one in Cyprus that does not host a university on its territory.
It is recalled that a letter to the President of the Republic Nikos Christodoulidis, requesting the creation of a university in the province of Famagusta, was sent by the President of the EOA Famagusta, MPs and Mayors of the province, the Metropolitan of Constantia and Famagusta and the provincial organizations EBE, OEB and PASYXE Famagusta.
