The Mayor of Ayia Napa, Mr. Christos Zanettou, met with a delegation from the Board of Directors of PASYDIXE and a group of hotel managers of the Municipality on Thursday, April 03, 2025, at the Municipal Hall.
During the meeting, among the key issues discussed were the crucial role played by municipal authorities in the smooth operation of hotel units, the need to simplify inspection and licensing procedures, and the upgrading of the public image and brand of the Ayia Napa resort.
At the same time, the importance of the active participation of Hotel Managers in strategic planning and decisions related to tourism and the development of the region was emphasized.
In his statements, Mr. Zannetou said that it was a very constructive meeting where views were exchanged on issues that directly affect the daily operation of the hotel sector, as well as the quality of the tourist experience.
He assured that the Municipality of Ayia Napa will be in open communication with PASYDIXE for suggestions, for new innovative ideas that will further help in upgrading the region's tourism product, as well as for solving problems faced by the tourism industry and especially the hotel sector.
Present at the meeting was the President of the Famagusta District Tourism Development and Promotion Company (ETAP), Mr. George Tofinis, who listened to the views of those present and accepted the need for closer cooperation, with the aim of the Directors having a participatory and not merely executive role in the region's tourism events.
