Today, Hellenism is celebrated. Today celebrates the Liberation of Tripolitsa. A leading event for the Greek revolution. Today we remember and honor the values that stem from these historical events.
The Mayor of Paralimni - Deryneia, Mr. Giorgos Nikolettos laid a wreath at the Monument of High Priests and Precrites as part of the celebrations in Tripoli, where he is these days together with the Deputy Mayor of Acheritou, Mr. Michalis Kaunas, the member of the Municipal Council, Mr. Roi Herodotou, as well as His Eminence, Metropolitan of Constantia and Famagusta, Mr. Vasilios.
It should be noted that Paralimni and Tripoli have been twinning since 2008, when in September of the same year the twinning between the Municipality of Paralimni and the Municipality of Tripoli was officially signed with the organization of joint events by the cultural ensembles of the two Municipalities which are linked by close relations and common visions.
