The Municipality of Paralimni - Deryneia is intensively preparing for the start of the new tourist season, with the aim of welcoming the hundreds of thousands of visitors who are expected to choose the area as a holiday destination this year.
The beaches, hotel units and recreation centers of the area are already in the preparation and upgrading stage, in order to offer high-quality services and hospitality experiences to visitors.
At the same time, the Municipality consistently continues to implement projects and interventions that improve infrastructure, upgrade public space and enhance the accessibility of citizens and visitors to beaches, recreational areas and tourist areas.
The area of the Municipality of Paralimni - Deryneia consistently maintains a leading role in Cypriot tourism, boasting a total of 18 Blue Flag beaches, the most in Cyprus.
Fig Tree Bay beach in Protaras holds a special international distinction, being ranked as the only Cypriot beach among the 19 best beaches in Europe.
As the Mayor of Paralimni - Deryneia stated, the Municipality works systematically so that each new tourist season finds the area even more upgraded, with modern infrastructure, quality services and a natural environment that is a point of reference for Cypriot and international tourism. At the same time, he underlined that the Municipality's cooperation with the tourist and business world of the region contributes decisively to maintaining the high quality of the tourist product and to further enhancing the reputation of the destination.
