The Municipalities of Famagusta and Paralimni - Deryneia jointly organize the great celebration of the "Famagusta Flower Festival", which is among the important cultural institutions that took place in Famagusta before 1974 and is inextricably linked to the historical memory and cultural identity of the city.
The Famagusta Flower Festival will take place on Sunday, May 10, 2026 at 4:00 p.m. with a parade along Kapparis Avenue, which functions as a natural extension connecting the free province of Famagusta with the currently occupied Kennedy Avenue in Famagusta. The choice of venue lends the event a special symbolism, as it connects contemporary reality with the city's timeless memory.
An artistic program will follow in the large parking lot on Kapparis Avenue, where the public will have the opportunity to attend a celebration dedicated to spring, flowers and the cultural tradition of Famagusta.
