The students of the Music School of Famagusta participated in the "CYPRIAN CONCERT" on 26/11/23 at the Vienna Musikverein, which is organized every year by the Vienna Cypriot Cultural Center under the auspices of the Ministry of Education, Sports and Youth.
The Music School represented Famagusta and the entire free province, the Music Schools of Cyprus, the Kokkinochoria Fotis Pitta High School, the Kokkinochoria Panou Ioannou High School, the Paralimni High School (School Annex) and also our Cyprus abroad.
The concert was attended by the First Lady Mrs. Filippa Karsera and the Minister of Education, Sports and Youth Dr. Athena Michaelidou.
The students were on stage with the Cyprus Youth Symphony Orchestra, under the direction of Mr. Giorgos Kountouris, the well-known Cypriot baritone Mr. Kyros Patsalidis and other renowned artists.
In a post on Social Media, the First Lady Philippa Karsera wrote "you guys made us so proud! It was with great emotion and joy that we watched you unfold your talent and receive the loudest applause in the famous Musikverein, Hall of Friends of Music, in Vienna. I sincerely thank the President of the Cyprus Cultural Center of Vienna Mr. Kyros Patsalides for the honorary invitation to the "Cypriot Concert", which is the highest artistic event for Cyprus that honors our diaspora and to speak to the children during the rehearsal together with the Minister of Education Athena Michaelidou".
