Two important road upgrade projects were completed in the Municipality of Ayia Napa in the Municipal District of Avgorou – and in the Municipal District of Liopetri.
In his statements, the Mayor of Ayia Napa, Christos Zannetou, said, "After more than 15 years of waiting, two important road axes, the Liopetri - Avgorou and Liopetri - Sotira roads, are being upgraded and completed, providing a solution to a long-standing request of the residents of the area.
With a total investment exceeding €1,2 million, including VAT, the two projects constitute a significant intervention in the infrastructure of the Municipality of Ayia Napa, enhancing road safety, improving transportation and upgrading the daily lives of citizens.”
He noted that "the course of implementing the projects was not without challenges. Despite the difficulties that arose, with perseverance, cooperation and continuous effort we managed to overcome the obstacles and today reach the completion of two substantial projects for our region."
He expresses his warm thanks to the Minister of Transport, Communications and Works, Mr. Alexis Vafeadis, for his cooperation and support, as well as to the Government of President Nikos Christodoulides for its contribution to the promotion of important infrastructure projects.
