A car accident occurred in Paralimni on Sunday at 9:45 pm.
Members of the Paralimni Police Station proceeded to the arrest of a 31-year-old from Liopetri who was involved in a car accident and was driving under the influence of alcohol.
Specifically, on 17/4/22 and around 21:45, members of the Paralimni police station responded to a car accident with material damage on Agiou Dimitriou Street, with drivers involved, a 31-year-old resident of Liopetri and a 34-year-old resident of Paralimni. During the above year, the 34-year-old was stopped in a red traffic light, with the result that the 31-year-old did not notice him and collided.
A preliminary alcohol test to which the 31-year-old underwent showed an indication of 94 mg instead of 22 mg, ie 5 frames from the allowed limit.
The 31-year-old was driven safely by a relative to her home and the case is expected to be registered before the Famagusta District Court in Paralimni within the day.
