The exercise of the Famagusta Regional Civil Defense Directorate was attended by the Mayor of Paralimni - Deryneia, Mr. Giorgos Nikolettos, on Saturday, March 15. Specifically, members of the Civil Defense conducted an evacuation exercise of the Agios Christopheros Center for Offering and Love (KEPA) in Paralimni.
The exercise scenario envisaged the evacuation of the Agios Christoforos Center for Offering and Love (KEPA) in Paralimni after a strong earthquake, while temporary accommodation, feeding of residents and a First Aid station were created to cover first needs.
During the exercise, the activation/operation of the KEE/PEDPA, the wireless communication of the KEE/PEDPA with the KEE/GEDPA and Departments in the field, the sending and receiving of electronic messages and reports, the provision of First Aid in the field and at the First Aid Station, the provision of food in a temporary restaurant, the provision of accommodation in dormitories, the registration of guests, the operation to locate missing persons in collaboration with a rescue dog, the transport of the injured to the First Aid Station, as well as the cooperation of Departments in the creation of the temporary accommodation and operation area were tested.
