10 new electric vehicle charging stations in the Municipality of Paralimni-Dheryneia

The Municipality of Paralimni - Deryneia informs that in collaboration with the EAC, the installation of 10 new electric vehicle charging stations has begun within the municipal boundaries of Paralimni - Deryneia.

Specifically, the new stations will be located at the following locations:
– Protaras central parking lot
– Fig Tree Bay Beach Parking, Protaras
– Pernera beach parking area
– Lt. Kapparis
– 1st April Ave., Paralimni Municipality – height of windmill roundabout
– 23 April 1st Ave., Paralimni Municipality
– Citizens' Service Center of the Municipality of Deryneia
– Parking space near the church of Agios Modestos, D.D. Deryneia
– Citizens Service Center of the Municipal District of Acheritos
– Arch. Makarios III, D.D. Frenaros
At the same time, the existing charging stations are already operating:
– Lefkolla Square, Protaras (next to the Deputy Ministry of Tourism service center)
– Parking space behind the Paralimni Municipal Amphitheater “Kyriakou Pelagia”.

The charging stations operate with the EAC's easy-to-use “e-charge” application.

The Municipality of Paralimni - Deryneia points out that following the amendment of the Legislation regarding the Extrajudicial Fines Law, an extrajudicial fine of €85 will be issued to drivers who park at a publicly accessible electric vehicle recharging point. The fine will be imposed on non-electric vehicles, as well as on electric vehicles that are parked in the specific areas without being charged.
