The Paralimni Youth Council succeeded in making Paralimni one of the five finalist cities for the title of “European Youth Capital 2028”.
After six months of intensive preparation, the Youth of Paralimni proved to the competent European committee that through its pioneering actions originating from the young men and women of Paralimni over the last 12 years, it rightfully deserves to claim a place on the European Youth Map in the most official way.
Within the framework of this candidacy, the Youth of Paralimni is organizing on Saturday, May 17, 2025 at 13:30 p.m., the 1st Youth Consultation Forum entitled: "Paralimni - European Youth Capital 2028"
The conference will be attended by over 70 young people aged 15–35, who will collaborate with 30 local officials from the Municipality of Paralimni-Derynia and the wider Free District of Famagusta to discuss and co-shape the vision for Paralimni and the Famagusta District of 2028.
The discussions will focus on 8 thematic sections based on European values, the needs of Youth today and our goals for tomorrow.
