The Deputy Mayor of Paralimni, Abraham Moulazimis - American, expressed his strong reaction in a recent post regarding a meeting of the Municipal Council of Paralimni on the provision of facilities on the beaches (rental of water sports and entertainment).

Irregular meeting of the Mayor and two Municipal Councilors to provide facilities on the beaches (rental of water sports and entertainment).
The Mayor and the Municipal Councilors George Karas and Kyriakos Ioakeim should resign.
I publicly report them to the Minister of Interior, the Minister of Public Order, the Attorney General, the Chief of Police, the Auditor General and all the competent bodies for abuse of power.
I publicly denounce the Mayor Theodoros Pyrillis and the Municipal Councilors Giorgos Karas and Kyriakos Ioakeim who met illegally today, the last day of the year, on the issue of providing facilities on the beaches (renting water sports and entertainment items). If possible, on the last day of the year, the Mayor and his two close associates hurried to meet illegally, to change the decision and even to announce it to the people of Paralimni via text message.
Today's meeting of the Mayor and his two close associates is irregular since there was no quorum. Their act is an abuse of power. In this way, the Mayor and his two close associates Karas and Ioakeim illegally wanted to change the previous majority decision of the plenary session of the Municipal Council. It is essentially a falsification of the practices of the previous decision, which is, among other things, a criminal offense.
This is the irregular behavior of the Mayor and his two close associates. In 2021, the Municipality of Paralimni operates with this status. After this irregular action, they have no choice but to resign immediately.
The Mayor has repeatedly stated publicly that he will resign. Personally, and I want to clarify this, I am not interested in the City Hall. I call on the Mayor to keep his promise to resign, to resign both of his close associates and when they do, I and the Municipal Council will resign and elect a new Mayor.
When the Mayor himself and his two close associates did not respect the majority decision of the Municipal Council and acted illegally, how will they respect the Citizen of Paralimni?
There are other serious issues concerning the Municipality of Paralimni and that is why I call on those in charge to immediately appoint criminal investigators. I'm ready to testify.
