The Fire Service responded to an incident of fuel loss from a gas station in the Famagusta district.
In a post on Platform "X", Andreas Kettis, Press Secretary of the Fire Service, states that at around 19:13 on Sunday evening, two staffed vehicles from the Famagusta Fire Station responded to an incident of fuel loss from a fuel pump at a gas station located in Paralimni.
It is added that "the spill was covered with foam, the electrical supply to the remaining pumps was cut off and the station was subsequently put out of operation."
According to Mr. Kettis, "it appears that the loss was caused by the disconnection of a fuel supply hose from a pump to vehicles."
