With a general bell ringing from the Holy Temples of the free area of ​​Famagusta, the celebrations for the anniversary of March 25, 1821 began today.

At 06.30 the flag was raised at the Municipal Palace of Paralimni by Mayor Theodoros Pyrillis.

The solemn doxology will be performed at the Metropolitan Church of Agios Georgios in Paralimni, officiated by the Metropolitan of Constantia - Famagusta Vassilios.

The government will be represented by the Minister of Energy, Trade and Industry, George Lakkotrypis and the solemnity of the day will be delivered by Kyriakos Panagiotou, Director of Paralimni High School.

Around 10.15 a trishagio and laying of wreaths at the Monument of Heroes will follow.

In Ayia Napa the solemn doxology will be performed at 09.30 in the morning in the church of Panagia Ayia Napa and the solemnity of the day will be delivered by the President of the local committee DISY Ayia Napa Pantelitsa Hatzinikola - Sergiou

In Deryneia the solemn doxology will be performed around 09.15 in the Holy Temple of All Saints. The government will be represented by the Secretary of the Council of Ministers, Theodosis Tsiolas, who will deliver the solemn speech of the day.
