Regarding today's (27.04.2026) publication in the newspaper "Politis", in relation to the operation of an illegal business on a state-owned plot on the coastal front of our city, we wish to inform you of the following:
The Municipality was made aware of a small construction made of cheap materials and last July an opinion was requested on the available measures that the Municipality could take. The Municipality was informed by its legal advisors that the issue does not fall within the competence of the Municipality, since according to the local government reform, these powers were transferred to other organizations.
The Municipality appeals to the competent authorities to take all appropriate measures for the purpose of eliminating any illegality.
