Following the Meteorological Service's forecast of severe weather events, the Municipality of Paralimni - Deryneia proceeded on Tuesday, December 9, 2025 to inform residents and visitors about the rapid deterioration of the weather, with phenomena that may cause problems in the road network and infrastructure.
Residents were called upon to exercise increased caution, limit unnecessary travel and take all necessary self-protection measures, especially in areas where there is a possibility of water accumulation or reduced visibility.
The Municipality has been on full operational alert since yesterday. The foremen and technical staff worked all night until morning, intervening on roads to remove fallen trees, as well as to clean roads and premises.
Our municipal services remain on alert, in order to respond immediately to any incident that requires intervention or support to the public.
