The Municipality of Paralimni - Deryneia is organizing an event with the speaker Lieutenant General (retd) Marios Makrygiannis on Wednesday 20/05/2026 at 19:30 in the Paralimni - Deryneia Municipal Hall Events Hall.
In his speech entitled "1974: Fighting in Cyprus - Myths and Realities", Lieutenant General Makrygiannis will shed light on the military causes and mistakes that led to the national tragedy of 1974, while at the same time he will also refer to the degree of readiness of the Republic of Cyprus to deal with a possible similar situation in the present time. The lecture will take place on Wednesday, May 20, 2026 at 19:30 in the Events Hall of the Paralimni - Deryneia Municipal Hall.
