An event to inform and raise public awareness of IBD was organized on the afternoon of Sunday 4 October 2024 in Paralimni by the Cypriot Association for Ulcerative Colitis and Crohn's Disease (PA.SY.E.K.K. .).
The event was organized in the Catechetical Hall of the Metropolitan Church of Agios Georgios in Paralimni and was held under the auspices of the Municipality of Paralimni - Deryneia.
A greeting was delivered on behalf of the Municipality by the Mayor, Mr. Giorgos Nikolettos, while speeches were made by the Gastroenterologist Dr. Georgios Oikonomou, the Clinical Dietitian/Nutritionist Ms. Christa Maouris and the Representative of GYNutrition Ltd.
At the event, information was provided, among other things, on the Modern Data on Inflammatory Bowel Diseases, Dietary Recommendations during remission and exacerbation of patients with Ulcerative Colitis and Crohn's Disease as well as the VSL3 Probiotic formulation.
